Self-cooking at Home (Sept. 2025)

Nothing much, just some photos of self-cooked meals made at home recently.

At least for these few times, the resulting food looks more appetising than the earlier attempts, I think.

Cooked some stir-fried vegetables with soy sauce and garlic, egg fried rice and an onion cheese soup with beef Bovril added. Photo taken on 16 September, 2025. The soup was made based on a recipe featured on this YouTube video by @ladyflavor_brain. As for the black thingy on the fried rice, I’ve forgetten what that was supposed to be.

Another dish for the same meal on the same day: black pepper roast chicken, using a pre-made black pepper paste available in supermarkets. Photo taken on 16 September, 2025.

Stir-fried vegetables with soy sauce again, and egg fried rice with prawn. Photo taken on 17 September, 2025.

Fried rice again, but this time a spicier, Malay-style paste was used; vegetable was also added straight in when cooking the fried rice. The drink was a Vitamin C supplement with passion fruit flavour. Photo taken on 19 September, 2025.

This is a fried rice dish with vegetables, mushroom and egg, cooked using a ‘Chinese Muslim flavour’ (whatever that means, to me it’s just some sort of umami flavour) paste and served with a sunny side up (with tomato sauce), as well as the same onion soup as before (sans the cheese and the onion has been sliced beforehand without wrapping it using a cling film), whereas the drink was just a pre-made fruit tea purchased from a supermarket.
